Jantien Bergman - de Graaff
My name is Jantien Bergman de Graaff. I am 37 years old and currently living in Røyken, Norway. I earned my bachelor's degree in optometry from Hogeschool Utrecht in 2009. My career began in the Netherlands, where I worked at Opsis Eye Hospital in Amstelveen (2008–2012), followed by Zonnestraal Eye Hospital in Amersfoort (2012–2016). During this time, I specialised in refractive surgery, keratoconus, and corneal crosslinking.
Since 2017, I have been practising in Norway. Until the end of 2023, I worked full-time as an optometrist at Brilleland, where I also served as the national clinical lead during the final six months of my tenure. In 2024, I joined Interoptik, part of Synoptik Norge, where I work in the clinic in Asker and hold the role of clinical coordinator.
In 2022, I began a four-year part-time master's program in Advanced Optometry at the University of South-Eastern Norway, which I expect to complete in June 2026. Additionally, I am an active member of the Clinical Council of the Norwegian Optometric Association (NOF), contributing to the development of national clinical guidelines.
I have been married since 2016 and am the proud mother of two sons, aged 6 and 4.
