Owi Owusu Mensah

Owi is an optometrist who graduated in 2021 and has since developed a broad professional background across optician practices and different hospitals. His clinical work has provided him with substantial experience in primary optometry and diagnostic evaluation, with a particular focus on corneal pathologies.

Proud of his Ghanaian roots he also volunteers as both an ambassador and Community Manager for The Optical Foundation. Where he and a great team of like-minded individuals strives to support the development of future optometrists in Ghana and make the eye care more accessible.

He currently works as a lecturer for Optometry at the Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, where he contributes to both teaching and student supervision. He is known to bring enthousiasm to the students with new cases! In addition to his academic role, Owi also works in a hospital, performing comprehensive examinations and supporting the management of patients with various pathologies.
