Jelle Vehof
Jelle Vehof, MD, PhD, is an ophthalmologist and epidemiologist. He received his medical and doctoral degrees at the University Medical Center Groningen in the Netherlands. He founded the Dutch Dry Eye Clinic, a national referral center for dry eye and blepharitis patients in the Netherlands. His research group, based at King’s College London, University Medical Center Groningen, and Vestfold Hospital Trust in Norway, aims to unravel the epidemiology and genetics of dry eye disease. Other dry eye research areas are personalized therapy, biomarkers and the role of chronic pain. He was a co-author of the TFOS DEWS II and III, and TFOS: A Lifestyle Epidemic reports.
