Hozan Zebari

Hozan is an optometrist at Radboudumc and a PhD candidate at Erasmus MC, where she combines her clinical experience in myopia management for complex ocular conditions with scientific research. After completing her degree in Optometry, she obtained a Master’s degree in Management, Policy Analysis and Entrepreneurship in Health & Life Sciences at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Her current PhD research focuses on a nationwide myopia registry in which multiple eye care centres collaborate. Through this research, data are collected from children with myopia to gain insight into the effectiveness and real-world application of current myopia management strategies in daily clinical practice. In this way, she bridges the gap between science and clinical practice, aiming to contribute to the further optimisation and implementation of myopia care.
