Cristian Mertz

Cristian Mertz graduated as an optometrist from Utrecht University of Applied Sciences in 2009. After several years of practical experience in various contact lens practices, he made the switch to industry.
There, he worked for almost ten years in various positions at Microlens and later at Ophtecs Europe. Among other things, he focused on developing new markets for Microlens' specialty contact lenses in countries worldwide and on training local professionals. After the acquisition of Microlens by Ophtecs, he became responsible for business development and professional services at the European branch of Ophtecs.
In 2020, he returned to clinical practice and joined Oculenti, where he has since enjoyed working in various hospital practices.
