Bianca Schut

After completing her contact lens specialization program in 2009, Bianca Schut gained experience in various (medical) contact lens practices. In 2014 she graduated as an optometrist from the Hogeschool Utrecht. Due to her strong passion for fitting (custom-made) contact lenses and her enthusiasm for sharing her knowledge and experience, she worked for several years as a consultant in the contact lens industry. She currently holds the position of lecturer in optics and contact lenses at Deltion College in Zwolle, where she passes on her experience, practical knowledge, and enthusiasm for the profession to future professionals.
Since 2018, Bianca has been a member of the Contact Lens Committee of the Dutch Optometrists Association (OVN). Since 2022 she has organized lecture evenings and conferences for the ANVC and actively contributes to maintaining and improving the quality of contact lens education as part of the curriculum committee for contact lens education and examinations. She also actively promotes knowledge sharing as a member of the editorial boards of professional journals such as ContactlensInside (ANVC), De Optometrist (OVN), and Oculus (NUVO).
