Annemarie Kop

Annemarie Kop began her career as an optician and contact lens specialist before earning her Bachelor’s degree in Optometry from the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (HU), the Netherlands, in 2003. After several years in commercial practice, she joined Visser Contactlenzen in 2008, a prominent contact lens practice primarily located in hospitals across the Netherlands. During her time there, she specialized in fitting scleral lenses, starting this focus in 2009.

Annemarie worked primarily at the University Hospital in Maastricht for Visser Contactlenzen from 2013 until 2021. Following a two-year stint as a general optometrist at a hospital, she returned to Visser Contactlenzen in 2023. Now based in and around Nijmegen, she continues to fit lenses on a medical basis and trains colleagues in the field of hybrid and scleral lenses.
