Korine van Dijk

After her education at the Christiaan Huygens School in Rotterdam, Korine van Dijk continued her training at the Hogeschool van Utrecht, at which she graduated as an optometrist in 1995. She then gained extensive experience in the application of both cosmetic and medical contact lenses at Visser Contactlenzenpraktijk. In 2009, she continued her career as an optometrist at NIIOS in Rotterdam, concentrating mainly on the examination and treatment of corneal pathology. In addition, she was responsible for monitoring quality and compliance within the institute. She was also part of several research projects focusing on the clinical outcomes of lamellar keratoplasty. In 2018, she finished her PhD on the subject "Clinical outcomes of modern lamellar keratoplasty techniques” in collaboration with Leiden University Medical Center. She is (co-)author of > 70 peer-reviewed publications on this topic and has presented at several national and international conferences. Since August 2023, Korine is (again) part of the Visser Contactlenzen team.
